I’d totally eat that. Considering it’s Japan, it’s probably decent quality too.

That one is famous in Korea as “Ex-Boyfriend Sandwich”.

Its story is basically a woman called to her ex-boyfriend to get recipe.

    3. I make something like that with strawberry jam and cream cheese. I call it breakfast strawberry shortcake. Super yummy!

    4. Blueberry cream cheese is good on bagels. How much different could bread slices be?

What so weird about combining blueberries, cream cheese and bread. I would 100% smash that sandwich.

It’s not as strange as you think. That’s basically what a blueberry cheescake is: cream cheese, blueberry sauce and a crust. The only difference is when making cheesecake you add sugar and extra cream to the cream cheese for the filling.

    7. I mean, this is how I eat my bagels, and that’s just a different type of bread.

    8. Japanese sandos are fantastic. Just a plain-Jane egg salad sandwich from 7-11 is a fucking treat.

I would definitely go in just assuming that blueberry and cream cheese is tasty as hell.

Never had a jam and cream cheese sandwich before? One of my childhood favourites

There is a place in Seattle called tres that sells sandwiches like this. They’re so good. Definitely not the japan price but super tasty.

    11. Sound like a reasonable combo. Your definition of “unique” is kinda questionable lol

    12. Try a fruit and cream sandwhich. They are pretty dope. Also tonkatsu sandos are so fucking good. I miss ekiben sando 😮‍💨😓

This is functionally the exact same thing as a blueberry cream cheese bagel, just with a different form of bread product.

Minus the soggy looking bread this looks good. May have to try this fresh w softened sweet cream cheese and blueberries!

    15. Worth noting that Japan’s bread tends to be on the sweeter end so their cream sandwiches have some basis

This is a bitchin’ combination, if a bit unusual. I also endorse:

      – apple slices with bacon and cheese
      – potato chips with peanut butter
      – maple cream cheese with bacon
      – cucumber, peanut sauce, and egg

    17. Japan has a culture of sandwiches being a desert more than a lunch style item. They make all kinds of sweet sandwiches, it is very common.

That flavor combo sounds delicious. As long as the bread didn’t get soggy (given that the sandwich is prepackaged) I bet it would be great, and a versatile snack to eat any time of day.

    19. Sandos are pretty good. Fruit varieties are common, and so are eggs. Most use a specific form of bread called shokupan though, which has an insanely fluffy texture. It’s not like they’re slapping that stuff on whole grain.

    20. Looks really good, like all the 7/11 Japan and Hawaii stuff does. Really wish they’d start trying some of this stuff, especially the sushi or poké, in the U.S. as I think it could work, at least now.
